Success for Roofspace Solutions team at the 2024 OSS Awards
At the recent OSS Awards, the Roofspace Solutions team took home one award, a fantastic achievement for the team, and huge congratulations to Amy Higgott, who received the award for Outstanding Contribution.
The OSS awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of colleagues from across the Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions division. Recognised for their stand-out contribution, we would also like to say congratulations to our fantastic Roofspace Solutions brand winners.
Being nominated and winning these awards showcase the team’s hard work and commitment to quality, innovation and customer service.

DARE TO CARE
Bruce Hodge said; “There are two things people want more than money – recognition and praise. I believe if you receive this it definitely makes you a better employee. You should never give up and keep pushing to be better. The more work you put in, the more achievements you’re going to get out of it. For me winning the Dare to Care award is a big achievement and I’m extremely grateful.”
NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR:
Charlie Hawkins said; “I’m incredibly pleased to have even been nominated, let alone win for Roofspace Solutions! It makes me feel proud of myself for achieving it, and knowing that people have noticed my hard work. I’m happy to have won, but also so happy for Nathan and Amy too – we had such a lovely night at the awards and I have proudly displayed my trophy in the office!”

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION: Amy Higgott
The Outstanding Contribution Award recognises a colleague who has delivered a campaign or initiative above and beyond their role, which has benefited the business, their team, or their local community.
The judges said: “Amy is fantastic, she is always going above and beyond in her job and even doing things that are not her responsibility or job but does them because no one else does, and she is always looking out for what’s best for Roofspace Solutions.”
“In one of the most challenging years I can remember, Amy has managed customer expectations professionally and honestly, constantly juggling customers’ requirements and production availability. She has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the business, which helps et the very best out of the team around her.”
“Amy is the kind of person you can’t imagine the business without. She’s a fountain of knowledge and really ‘owns her zone’. No request is too much, and she makes time to help with anything you need, no matter how big or small. I’ve been sat next to Amy when she’s received calls from disgruntled customers, and seeing how politely, calmly, and patiently she deals with difficult situations like this shows how much we can all learn from her. Her sense of humour and bubbly personality just add to her list of virtues. These are just a few things I noticed through my limited exposure to Roofspace Solutions, so I’m sure there are many more praises to be sung!”
