BBA Certification: i-Roof, Roofspace Solutions
We’re pleased to share that i-Roof is the first panelised roofing system to achieve third party BBA certification. By achieving this certification, we’re further proving our commitment to safety and quality.
As of 1 July 2025, all panelised roofs now require third-party accreditation to be supplied with an NHBC Warranty. We’re pleased to share that we have BBA approval in place, meaning our customers know that their roofs will gain NHBC approval.
We thought it was worth explaining what this means for our partners. When the NHBC inspector comes to sign off a house fitted with our i-Roof system, there are significantly fewer checks required, as our system already carries independent third-party approval. The i-Roof system is pre-approved.
At a glance, they’ll know that the following key factors have already been assessed:
- Mechanical resistance & stability: Designed to BS EN 1995 for timber structures, spanning eaves to ridge.
- Fire safety: Achieves REI 30 or REI 60 depending on configuration, with fire-resistant linings.
- Condensation & moisture: Adequately controls condensation risk.
- Noise protection: Meets Building Regulations and Robust Details for airborne sound insulation.
- Energy efficiency: U-values down to 0.15 W/m²K for the roof.
- Durability: Over 60-year service life under normal conditions, comparable to traditional roofing structures and industry norms
It also means our system satisfies or helps achieve compliance with Building Regulations across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland covering structure, fire safety, moisture, noise, and energy. Plus, it meets all NHBC Standards requirements.
